Course Introduction

This course provides participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills to safely prepare, handle, and transport dangerous goods by road in compliance with the ADR Agreement (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road).

The training covers classification, packaging, marking, labeling, placarding, documentation, vehicle requirements, segregation, stowage, and emergency response procedures, ensuring compliance with UNECE regulations and national authority requirements.

The course is mandatory to be refreshed every five years as per ADR regulations.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Classify dangerous goods correctly, including hazard classes, UN numbers, and packing groups.
  • Apply ADR-compliant requirements for packaging, marking, labeling, and placarding.
  • Prepare and verify transport documentation, such as the Consignment Note and Dangerous Goods Declaration.
  • Understand vehicle requirements and driver obligations, including the use of mandatory safety equipment.
  • Apply safe procedures for loading, unloading, segregation, and stowage of dangerous goods.
  • Follow emergency response procedures in the event of accidents, fires, or spills to ensure the protection of people, property, and the environment.
